You pay $2.99 a month. Artists get paid $500 to $5,000.

Crate & Taco is a working map with a mission attached. Membership is $2.99 a month — your dues go into a pool that sponsors real local shows, and we publish every single one on this page.

The map is free. Always. Membership is the part that pays musicians.

To be clear: we're not asking you for $500.

That's what we pay artists. Membership is $2.99 a month, $24 a year, or $39 once for a Founding Digger pass. There is no sponsor tier, no benefit grid, and nothing here to buy a table at.

Every sponsored event gets a public line here — event name, city and state, and a link to the event page.

What we pay out

$500 – $5,000

Per sponsored event — paid by us, to the artist.

We size each sponsorship to what the show actually needs — a load-in fee and a guaranteed pay-out on the low end, a fully underwritten headlining night on the high end. Anywhere in between depending on the venue, the artist, and the room.

How it works

The math is boring on purpose.

  1. You join Crater Club for $2.99 a month or grab a Founding Digger pass. After payment processing and operating costs, every remaining dollar of your dues goes into the sponsorship pool.
  2. We scout local venues and lineups on the map. Same map you're using — record shops, taco stops, and the rooms between them that book local music.
  3. We pay the artist directly through the venue. Sponsorship goes on paper as a fee, guarantee, or promo underwrite — never a “we'll figure it out at the door” handshake.
  4. We publish every sponsored event on this page. Event name, city and state, and a link to the event. No mystery about where the money went.
